What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Discovery & scoping: identify production challenges where GenAI could help (previs, look dev, matte painting, temp VO/SFX, editorial) and run AI vs. traditional assessments
- Prototyping & delivery: design rapid prototypes using tools like Runway, Veo 3, Luma, ElevenLabs, and 3D/compositing software; develop self-serve pathways
- Creative partnership: collaborate with directors, editors, and VFX supervisors to align AI use with creative vision across pre-, production, and post
- Education & governance: create demonstrations and playbooks, run training, build vendor relationships, and apply Netflix policies on copyright, IP, and guild rules
- Feedback to leadership: aggregate field insights into quarterly recommendations for product teams and help prioritize tool investments
What you'll need
Experience
- 15+ years in film/series/VFX production with hands-on creative supervision
- Demonstrated use of AI-based image/video tools in production or prototyping
- Proficiency with VFX tools (Nuke, Maya, Unreal Engine), generative AI platforms (Midjourney, Runway, Stable Diffusion), and editorial software
- Strong grasp of end-to-end production and post workflows
- Excellent communication and storytelling skillsUnique
- Portfolio demonstrating GenAI-integrated workflows with before/after resultsUnique
- Preferred: degree in design, film, computer graphics, or related field
- Preferred: experience designing AI-enabled pipelines on productionsUnique
- Preferred: ACES/OCIO color pipeline knowledge and familiarity with the UCAN GenAI vendor ecosystem
